Safety Camps...
Avalanch Safety camps
unfortunately avalanches kill lots of people each year, some of these deaths could be avoided with better decision making. Knowledge about Avalanche safety is one of the most important things when leaving the pistes and heading into the backcountry.
We are looking to give you the skills to make good decisions when It comes to riding off piste.
We don't think avalanche courses should be overly complicated like they have traditionally been.
We are here to help you answer the two big questions when planing on riding off piste:
Can I, and Should I ride this line?
the knowledge that you will gain in order to answer these questions and make good decisions when leaving the pistes will be split into different sections during our course.
- Reading and understanding avalanche report
- Tour planning
- Map reading and navigation
- Decition making tools
- Group Dynamics
- Riding Tactics
- Avalanche Rescue
- Basic First Aid.
We are flexible, our Avalanche safety courses can be organised to suit you. we understand the not every one has the time and money to take a full 5 day long avalanche course, and we believe in Avalanch safety and helping people make the correct decisions. therefore are course can be booked to suit you.
we offer course form 1 day long introduction to Avalanch safety, up to 5 days long camps.

- You should already have a good level of riding. We suggest that you should be comfortably riding red slopes before you start to explore the backcountry.
- Some additional equipment is necessary to be able to take part: you must have with you a backpack, with avalanche shovel and probe and an avalanche transceiver with full batteries.
- We would also recommend something to drink and a few snacks along with a first aid kit and an extra layer to put on, incase it's cold. And if you want, some ability to take notes
